An Invention

After our trip to the museum last week, Oliver brought a special photo to school. It shows his great great grandfather who was a gumdigger.
Read his story to see what Oliver's great great grandfather did.

Hi Oliver, your story was very interesting and I liked your picture. Your great grandfather must have been very clever! What would you like to invent?

I loved reading your post about your grandfather's invention. We in Room 2, Burnham School wanted to know what they did with the gum?

Thank you for your comments Miss Mac and Room 2, Burnham School.
Oliver is thinking about a reply for you. (In fact, he knows exactly what he wants to say, but hasn't got round to writing it yet.)
Here is a link to find out more about the gum diggers, if you are interested.

Hi Miss Mac I would like to make a thing that you can strap on to a cat so it fly if a dog wants to chase him.
I will put a picture on the post to show you my idea.

How did you make the straight lines.

Hi Grace,
In Kid Pix, with the pencil tool, there is a straight line tool. It is at the bottom of the window, on the right hand side. Try out what happens if you hold down the shift key when you are using it. Ms Donnell
