Hi Room 2!

We found your post very interesting. We didn't know a potato peeler was a machine.

Sean wants to know if a knife is a machine?

Hi Sean,
Yes, a knife is a machine. It is a wedge, like an axe or a needle.
Scissors are a combination of a wedge that cuts and a lever that squeezes.

Dear Room 2,

I really love your blog! You have outstanding writing, photos, and videos to help learning.

Your chart with real tools was most helpful. Nothing like having the real thing in your hand to make learning memorable.

My class is a group of third graders in California. We just finished school yesterday. :-) We will enjoy the summer vacation and will be back in September.

I'm going to add your blog to our blogroll and when school starts, my students can comment!

Terrific work!
