Crystal Cave

Today Robert brought some of his crystal collection to school. At lunchtime, we used the digital microscope to examine some of the crystals more closely. This one was our favourite. It looks like a crystal cave.

Wow, crystals look quite different under the microscope. This is a very cool picture.

What crystal was that one Robert? Have you tried puting a drop of warm salt water under the microscope and watch the crystals of salt form as the water evaporates away? Different substances give you different shapes.
